A brief History of Bahrain Ice cream Factory:
The Beginnings of Bahrain Ice cream Factory.
Mr. Hussain Zulaikh is accredited with starting Bahrain Ice Cream Factory in the year 1972. Where was working in a small shop in the middle of Manama old supermarket, where mixing the ice cream was being done by using ice and salt machine.
By the end of the 1970s, Mr. Hussain started to import from England Ice cream machines, and he was considered to the first one to import the soft ice cream from the English company “ line made” in the kingdom of Bahrain. and therefore the type of the work has been changed from selling the ready made ice cream in to selling soft ice cream. We as Bahrain ice cream factory are considered the first company that used the idea of selling soft ice cream in cars in the kingdom of Bahrain, where we used one Felix wagon car for selling ice cream in the parks and sports stadiums. The first soft ice cream van car was imported from “Withby” British Co.
Mr. Hussain Zulaikh is considered also the first one who used the Gelato in the Ice cream Mix in the kingdom of Bahrain , and was also the first who imported the materials from Holland and England for ice cream Mix.
Today , with a pure personal effort and without any fund support, we own our soft ice cream vans which are ready to serve the customers , and we are able to provide the needed experience and needed ice cream materials like the readymade milk and the sweetened and the unsweetened cone biscuits.

بدايات معمل آيس كريم البحرين:
يعود الفضل في إنشاء معمل آيس كريم البحرين للسيد/ حسين مكي زليخ في سنة 1972. حيث كان يعمل بدكانه الصغير في وسط مركز سوق المنامة القديم ، حيث كان العمل وخلط الآيس كريم بماكينة الثلج والملح وفي نهاية السبعينات قام باستيراد مكائن لصناعة مثلجات الآيس كريم من انجلترا ، وكان أول من استورد الآيس كريم الجاهز من شركة ” لاين ميد” الإنجليزية ، وعلى إثر ذلك تغير إسلوب العمل من بيع الآيس كريم الجاهز المعد مسبقا إلى بيع الآيس كريم المفرد, حيث قمنا باستيراد أول سيارة من شركة وذبي البريطانية لبيع الآيس كريم المفرد.

يعتبر مصنع البحرين للايسكريم أول من جاء بفكرة بيع الآيس كريم المفرد بالسيارات في مملكة البحرين حيث كانت لدينا سيارة واحدة فقط من نوع فلكس واجن تبيع بين المنتزهات والملاعب الرياضية و يعتبر السيد / حسين زليخ هو أول من خلط الآيس كريم الجيلاتو في مملكة البحرين وأول من استورد المواد الخام من هولندا وانجلترا لخلط مكونات الآيس كريم أما اليوم، وبمجهود شخصي ومن غير أي دعم مادي نملك سياراتنا المجهزة لطلبات الزبائن ونزود عملائنا بالخبرة والمنتجات الخام الأولية لصناعة الآيس كريم من الحليب السائل المعد مسبقا للتحضير والمجفف والبسكويت المخروطي الكونو المحلى وغير المحلى.
